Plomeur, Bigouden culture, prehistory and beaches
The Torche campsite is located in the Plomeur region. This is a vast area with a large number of notable sites that are not to be missed at the heart of southern Finistère. Walking through Plomeur is a real pleasure since the local inhabitants are particularly fond of flowers. The houses, green spaces and public areas are decorated with colourful and elegant flower beds.
The town is also an integral part of pays Bigouden, and there is plenty to explore in connection with local culture. You can get more information from the tourist office about the different events organised in the area.
Plomeur is also famous for its historic and prehistoric heritage. Close by the campsite, you can admire fine architecture in the different chapels that have been built over the centuries. You can also discover the dolmen and menhirs in Plomeur, built thousands of years ago by the present-day inhabitants' distant ancestors!
These pioneers understood all the beauty and interest of settling in these regions.
