Ride to La Torche by bike
For cycling enthusiasts in Brittany, whether cyclists or mountain bikers, Camping de la Torche ***, our campsite in South Finistère, is ideally placed to join coastal route 5, both southwards (Le Guilvinec, Bénodet, Concarneau...) and northwards (Audierne, La Pointe du Raz...). The route is well signposted and relatively flat, and can be completed alone, as a couple or with the family.
Are you an inveterate surfer? You can reach the La Torche surf spot either by road or mountain bike, to say hello to the horses at the Centre Equestre de la Torche, or via the direct path to the beach from the back of the campsite. The detailed path is now available on our social media !
We encourage our guests to get to the spot on foot or by bike, so that they can contribute to sustainable development by limiting their carbon footprint during their stay.
You can now download the cycling and walking routes to help you prepare for your sporting holiday. It's another eco-responsible way to discover the Bigouden region!
Discovering Finistère
Once you've explored this superb tourist route, you can plan a longer walk in the protected area of Audierne Bay, by taking the route du Vent Solaire, Hent Avel an Heol in Breton.
Marked by a black sun and numerous signposts, this route will take the more athletic as far north as the Pointe du Raz (64 km), with a short break at the Maison de la Baie d'Audierne for birdwatching in a preserved area.
To the south, you'll discover the majestic Rochers de Saint Guénolé after a stop at Pors Carn beach. The walk can continue as far as Saint Pierre with its Eckmühl lighthouse and the superb sunset over the port of Kérity, while taking regular breaks at the reading tables along this magnificent route du Vent Solaire.
Have you got your sea legs? You can also take your bike on the P'tit Bac boat trip from Loctudy to Ile Tudy and from Sainte Marine to Bénodet, in just 5 minutes, from April to September: enjoy the gentle pace of life on the southern beaches...
More information on the Green Way and an example of the route between Penmarc'h and Pont l'Abbé, where you will follow the coast and cross several ports.
